CoCo's Story...
CoCo's family contacted UMR because their
young children were at an age where they were bringing their playmates home, and CoCo was
so protective of his family that he would bark menacingly at the children (or any other
visitors to the house). Although he didn't bite, the kids' playmates were terrified of
him. He also wanted to "rumble" with other dogs outside, so walking him was a
problem for the family. His family loved him, but they thought he would do better in a
nice quiet environment in an all-adult home. We had a number of good applicants, but none
of them was "perfect" for CoCo. Then we found Mr. Right!
Linda reports on CoCo's New Beginning
with her father
My dad has had Maltese all his life, but
when he met CoCo, it was love at first sight for both of them. Jerry put him in dad's arms
and we just KNEW they were right for each other. CoCo didn't bark at him at all. He just
seemed to understand that he and dad were going to be a family. CoCo sat on dad's lap all
the way home and has been in it ever since (well except when he is sleeping--then he is
beside him on the bed). Dad is like a young boy with his first puppy with CoCo. And CoCo
gets his little taste of ice cream nearly every night! As you know, dad recently lost his
little 16-yr-old female Maltese. I can never tell you how happy this has made him. Thank
you!
