Marcy and Missy came to us from a veterinarian's office in Virginia. Actually, they were supposed to be UMR placements, originally, but someone adopted them directly from their owner's home, instead. When that person found she could not care for them, she took them to the vet where she wanted to "dump them off," and the vet searched for a rescue group and found us.

These dear little dogs who had been pampered and spoiled all their lives were in pretty rough shape--so covered in fleas that the vets had to give them a "miracle pill" to get rid of them all, and matted to the skin. In addition to getting rid of a multitude of fleas, this wonderful vet cared enough to clean both girls teeth, groom them, and send them to us complete with antibiotics (and bandannas!!) and didn't charge us one cent! That is a miracle in itself, and we are eternally in their debt.

After a few weeks in foster care, the girls began to feel safe and loved again and their little personalities began to shine-- Marcy the little flirt, and Missy the big-time cuddler and kisser. Just about the time the girls were finding their way again, Alice contacted us looking for one little girl dog. After talking with her, we kind of thought she'd be a perfect mom for two of them! We took the girls to meet Alice and her husband and introduced them to Alice's little old boy of a Bichon.

He wasn't reslly sure sisters were a great idea--especially one that was pretty bossy (that Marcy, again). Alice, however, decided that two hearts were better than one, and Marcy and Missy went off "to the country," where there are now happily sharing a bed with Alice and Lowell and keeping their new brother in line. They spend their days racing around and around the wraparound porch, and flying through the grass in the huge front yard. Their new family loves them madly and they return the favor. Marcy and Missy are home now; two happy girls who will be loved and spoiled forevermore!
